Abstract
This paper focuses on the establishment and development of the Commissioner for Children's Rights in modern Russia. The study suggests that the institution has demonstrated full viability as a special court in control of the observance of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the children and the ongoing work on the restoration of their violated rights.
