THE ROLE OF THE CITY BANKS IN THE LIFE OF RUSSIAN PROVINCE IN THE BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURY (ON EXAMPLE OF THE VYATKA PROVINCE)

Abstract
In the article deals with the role of the so called city social banks in life of Russian province in the beginning of the XX century. The author shows their orientation for middle classes of city inhabitants and high adaptability for specific conditions of every city. As an example the author observes the work of the Vyatka city bank of Feodor Veretennikov – the biggest among the city banks of the Vyatka province. The results of its work during 1910-1911 years are presented, as well as donations for city budget and charity.
