CULTURAL TOURISM AS ONE OF THE DIRECTIONS OF THE REGIONAL CULTURAL POLICY AND ITS ROLE IN THE SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
This article discusses cultural tourism as an important component of the regional cultural policy and development of society as a whole. Some international cultural projects and organizations realizing it are considered. The main types of cultural tourism are characterized and their potential importance for the development of regions and intercultural interaction are identified.
