Abstract
This article examines the policy of the government of the Russian empire against the Jews population during the reign of Emperor Alexander I (1801-1825). It is noted that the officials on the one hand trying to do the Jews a part of Russian society, by acculturation, followed by Christianization and Russification, and on the other - to protect the indigenous people from the influence of the Jews.
