Abstract
Article is devoted to genesis and transformations of brazilian Workers' Party, its role in process of democratization. Besides this in article analyzed Workers' Party internal structure and nature of interaction with grass-roots social movements. The separate attention is devoted to a figure of the party leader - to Luiz Inacio da Silva and his transformation from the radical trade-union leader in the respectable politician.
