Abstract
The authors on the basis of the analysis of operational activities of the institutions and bodies of the penal system to ensure the security of correctional institutions address issues related to ensuring internal and external security of prisons. The article identified the causes and conditions contributing to the occurrence of shoots from under the protection and the recommendations whose implementation will contribute to the prevention of penal offences.
