Abstract
This article is devoted to consideration of the system of an assessment of efficiency of activity of public authorities existing in the Russian Federation in comparison with similar systems in the USA and the European Union. The conducted research allows to claim that in Russia this system has a number of essential shortcomings and does not meet modern requirements.
