Abstract
The article examines civil society in understanding I. A. Pokrovsky as part of the doctrine of the civil law. The author consistently analyze each symptom definition of civil society I. A. Pokrovsky, compares it with modern ideas of civil society and modern civil law. The author concludes that the doctrine of civil law, I.A. Pokrovsky shows the connection problem solving of the modern theory of civil society with the modern theory of civil law.
