Abstract
The article observes risks of the banking system, the history of the concept of the essence of liquidity, the notion of liquidity risk and the role of its diversification and minimization in the modern banking system, norms and standards for managing liquidity risk. It analysis the use and development of standards for managing liquidity risks in Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan according to Basel III.
