Abstract
Abuse of power is one often committed malfeasance. However, the law enforcement authorities face problems when applying article 286 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation in connection with the vague definition by the legislator of a number of signs of structure of the crime. Some of them are estimates. The study is intended to point out existing deficiencies and suggest measures to correct them.
