THE LAWS OF THE JEWS IN THE XIX CENTURY AND THE BEGINNING OF THE FORMATION OF THE JEWISH DIASPORA IN THE EUROPEAN NORTH OF RUSSIA

Abstract
The study focused on the main trends of development of Russian legislation defining the status of the Jews. It was revealed that during the centuries there has been a grad-ual tightening of the rules of law, accompanied by a marked increase in anti-Semitism in various sectors of society, including the highest bureaucracy.
